My approach to Counselling and Psychotherapy is 'Integrative' which means that I draw from more than one model of therapy. The Person-Centred approach of Carl Rogers and Dr. William Glasser's, cognitive behavioural model, Choice Theory/Reality Therapy form the main framework
from which I work while I integrate tools from therapies such as Gestalt, Existential and REBT. Appropriate interventions from different counselling modalities can enhance the therapeutic experience bringing greater understanding and self-awareness for the client and being flexible
I feel allows for greater personalisation in meeting the varied needs of different clients.

Services
Individual Counselling
Using the flexibility of an 'Integrative' therapeutic approach, in a supportive, safe space, I assist my client as they explore their own situation and seek to understand themselves and their own lives.
Couple Counselling
Using the Choice Theory/Reality Therapy Model of Couples Counselling, I work with couples who are having relationship difficulties.
Life Coaching
Life coaching is about working on very specific life goals with a client. For example a client may wish to change career but feel unable to know where to begin. Choice Theory offers a framework for evaluating, planning and implementing goals or objective in an easy to
understand format. The client has the added advantage of having a fully qualified therapist offering support and encouragement every step of the way.
Assertiveness Training
I have developed The Four P's of Counselling which I use in the counselling room to help clients learn how to assert themselves in many areas of their lives. Asserting yourself can improve self-confidence and improve your relationships.
Mindfulness Meditation
Mindfulness offers a way to meditate while being in a state of awareness. This meditation can offer the client great healing benefits, bringing the client into awareness of the present moment. It is easy to do and learn and does not require the client have any special
spiritual beliefs.
Healing Visualisation
Based on the work of Gerald Epstein: Mental Imagery can be very powerful, is simple to do and it takes only minutes a day to receive powerful benefits.
